The new technology gives Sea Star wireless monitoring capacities on 100 percent of its refrigerated container fleet, marine terminals, and vessels. This milestone has been achieved through the use of advanced wireless devices mounted on every refrigerated container that continually report the status of all temperatures, and other onboard conditions, back to a Webbased software platform that provides Sea Star total and continual visibility and control.

StarGuard Service
All reefer units equipped with this state-of-the-art technology provide you with web-based tracking of your refrigerated cargo status and location. Your cargo is monitored 24/7 at all Sea Star Line terminals and vessels, en route to final destination. – Difference is there is no temperature or GPS tracking until in close vicinity to terminal or on vessel.
StarGuard Elite Service
Sea Star Line fleet of carrier advanced micro reefers are fitted with our breakthrough StarGuard Elite Service—Tracking and control devices. StarGuard Elite Service combines the latest in GPS, cellular and industrial-processing hardware. Reporting Reefer Information. The sophisticated interface capability provides operators and users full visibility from any Internet-connected personal computer. Remote operators can monitor the state of the machinery, whether it is plugged in or not, powered or not, if any alarms exist and the full range of temperature readings—including set, supply, return and ambient temperatures.

Data Downloads and Storage: the Sea Star Central database maintains a log of every event, alarm, report and action the reefer takes. This data is stored in a secured customer-specific folder on a centralized database for retrieval at any time. In addition, he technology allows users to request full data downloads for record keeping or USDA reporting.
