Sea Star Inland Rating
3 Digit Zip Based Inland Tables
Updated January 2012
To expedite the quoting and rating process, and as advised in the earlier updates, Sea Star Line has simplified its inland transportation rating structure. These tables update the prior revision of July 2011. The inland rates will be calculated by combining the standard three digit U.S. Postal Zip Code with the inland tables that can be downloaded as an Excel Spreadsheet from this web page
Instructions
The user will need to know the following before utilizing the table.
- The first three digits of the zip code Example: Jacksonville, FL zip 322.
- The direction of the move: Southbound or Northbound to or from Puerto Rico or the U.S. Virgin Islands.
- The desired mode of transportation: Motor, Motor/Rail or Rail.
- The equipment size and type.
Download the inland table and open the Spreadsheet.
When opened, each tab at the base of the table represents a U.S. State. Select the State the cargo is originating in or is destined to.
The leftmost column contains the U.S. Postal 3-digit zip, and subsequent columns represent the costs in U.S. dollars for each equipment type or inland mode. All other columns represent the dollar cost for the mode and zip code chosen.
The rows across the top of each Worksheet represent direction, equip size, or mode.
