United States Coast Guard Hurricane Conditions

  1. Whiskey - automatically set during Atlantic Hurricane season, June 1st- November 30th. Hurricane conditions could develop within 72 hours.
  2. X-Ray - Hurricane can make landfall within 48 hours. All vessels must depart within 24 hours of condition being set.
  3. Yankee - Hurricane can make landfall within 24 hours. Cargo operations must halt and all vessels must leave the port.
  4. Zulu - Hurricane can make landfall within 12 hours. All port areas to be evacuated.
